Sheila Eileen Varassi Vandall

Sheila Eileen Varassi Vandall, of Decatur, passed away April 3, 2012. Sheila was born October 30, 1942 in Verona, Pennsylvania. She taught at Cliff Valley School, Decatur for over 20 years and was President of the Emory Womens Club (with Sharon Gunn 2008-2009). Sheila earned a Masters Degree from Emory University and a BA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was married for 46 years to Frank J. Vandall, professor at Emory Law School. She battled uterine cancer for over three years. Sheila is survived by her husband, Frank; daughter, Megan; son, Josh; and three grandchildren, Keegan, Madison and Emma Schimmelman. A celebration of life will be held at the Miller Ward Alumni House at Emory University on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Cliff Valley School for the Sheila Vandall scholarship fund, Oak Grove United Methodist Kids Club scholarship fund, or the Winship Cancer Institute for the Research and Cure of Uterine Cancer, Emory University.
