Shelby Jean Bennett

Shelby J. Bennett, 56, of Stone Mountain passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Barry Bolt, her son, Bobby Bennett and her father, Billy Bennett. She is survived by her mother, Jackie Bennett of Stone Mountain; sister, Deborah Crank (Bill) of Tampa, FL; brothers, Ron Bennett (Sandy) of Tucker, and Tommy Bennett (Clara) of Santa Ana, CA and daughter-in-law, Trisha Bennett of Monroe; stepchildren, Erin Watson (Brian) of Stockbridge and Alex Bolt (Jenny) of Dawsonville. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Gracie, Jackson, Laken, Nathan and Lachlan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at A.S. Turner and Sons in Decatur. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
