Sheryl Riley, of Lilburn passed away March 2, 2016. She was born and grew up in Atlanta. She attended Druid Hills High School where she was Miss DHHS her senior year. She then attended UGA where she was a Phi Mu and graduated with a BSEd. She taught in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties until her retirement in 2007. Sheryl fought valiantly with grace and dignity with whatever challenges were sent her way. She always tried to find the good qualities in all she met as she was beautiful inside and out. She was a wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and a niece. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) M. Riley of Lilburn; her mother, Evie Ann Driskell of Tucker; sons Shane Riley of Los Angeles and Vann and Christi Riley of Johns Creek. Also, surviving are her grandsons: Brayden, Grant and Blake Riley. She also leaves behind an aunt and numerous cousins. She will be missed by her family, friends and extended family at Smoke Rise Baptist Church. The celebration of Sheryl Riley's life will begin with visitation on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the A. S. Turner Funeral Home. (www.asturner.com) The funeral service will follow on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Smoke Rise Baptist Church (www.smokerisebaptist.org). Shortly after the funeral, interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens (www.dignitymemorial.com/floral-hills-funeral-home/en-us) .
