Shirlee Roberta Baker Blum
Shirlee was born Shirlee Baker in Kansas City, Missouri. She always considered herself a Midwesterner in thought. She married Jack Blum in 1952 and started a family with the birth of a daughter Nancy and a son Jeffrey. Through Jack's work, they moved throughout the Midwest and the South, settling in Atlanta in 1983. She was particularly proud of her work as deputy director of an alcohol rehabilitation center, where she made a difference in many peoples’ lives. An artist at heart, Shirlee created countless watercolor paintings and collages throughout her life, and always encouraged others to tap into their creative spirit. She had deep love for the natural world, and captured its beauty by adorning everything, even the most mundane of surfaces, with her signature blue and white decoupage. She was also an avid gardener, storyteller, and poet. We will miss her wisdom and dry sense of humor.

Shirlee was a much beloved mother and grandmother who is survived by her children, Nancy Ridler and Jeff Blum and three granddaughters, Anna and Charlotte Ridler and Reilly Roberta Blum.
