Smaro Pefines

Mrs. Smaro Pefines, 93, of Decatur passed into eternal life on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Smaro, a native of Pireaus, Greece, was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.

Smaro was an accomplished seamstress and retired from Muse’s after 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dionisios and Anna Damatis; her husband, Theodore Pefines; and daughter, Rena Soublis.

Surviving to cherish her memory are son-in-law, Panagiotis Soublis; grandchildren, George and Leigh Ann Soublis of Marietta; daughter and son-in-law, Theodora and Michael Willis of Alpharetta; and great-grand children, Nicholas Soublis, Hailey Soublis, and Lorelei Willis.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral Atlanta, GA 30329.

Funeral services will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at A. S. Turner & Sons.
