Sophia Genevieve Langford

Sophia Genevieve Langford, age four, died Tuesday, February 3rd at her home in the loving arms of her parents. She is survived by her parents, Shirley and Wayne; her younger sister, Fiona; her grandparents, Jere and Wayne Langford, and Fe and Gary Simpkins, an unlimited, loving family and a community circling the globe which coalesced during her lengthy battle with brain cancer. Sophia is remembered for her strength of spirit, her love of knock-knock jokes, her intense beauty and, most of all, her fierce belief in the absolute power of gentleness. She was, in essence, the very best sort of person and the world is better for her having lived in it and sadder for her having left. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, at 1PM at: Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 1790 LaVista Rd., NE., Atlanta, GA 30329.
