Sophia N. Tsamolias

Sophia N. Tsamolias, 94 of Thomaston, GA passed away on March 9, 2021. Born and raised in Greece, she came to this country in 1969 with 2 of her sons so they could go to school in the US. Her husband and oldest son remained in Greece until they could join the rest of the family in 1972. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Tsamolias, and son, John (Yiannis). She is survived by sons, Peter N. Tsamolias and his wife, Dimitra (Toula) and George N. Tsamolias and his wife, Rebbekka; grandchildren, Nickolas Tsamolias, Harris Tsamolias, Dimitrios Tsamolias, Andrew Tsamolias; sisters, Helen Cassandras and Anna Letsos; and brother, George Papadopoulos. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 15 in the Metropolis Chapel (at the Greek Cathedral of the Annunciation) at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, in the chapel, from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Cross Church in Macon, GA.
