Sophie Pauline Mazur

Sophie P. Mazur, age 87, died in Marietta, Georgia on August 9, 2007.  She was born in Trenton, New Jersey November 2, 1919 to John and Mary Dziak who preceded her in death.  She was a loving wife to her husband and best friend of 61 years, Michael, who preceded her in death in 2000.  In addition to Trenton, she resided in Elizabeth, NJ, Atlanta, GA and Marietta, GA.  She is survived by her daughter, Denise Brennan of Marietta, GA; her son, Michael J. Mazur, Jr. of Avondale Estates, GA; grandchildren, Terence and Jennifer Brennan and their children Jordan and Terence, Timothy and Caroline Brennan of Marietta, GA, Stacy Brennan of Atlanta, GA, and Steven Brennan of St. Louis, MO.  She is also survived by her beloved sister, Josephine Rak of Cream Ridge, NJ; sister-in-law, Dolores and Charles Messina of Bayville, NJ; brother-in-law John and Mary Mazur of Lakehurst, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews.  A memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Catholic Church of St. Ann's, Marietta, GA, Father John Gabriel, M.S. officiating.  The family will receive friends at a reception after the service.  There will be no public visitation & interment will be private at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
