Stella Hinson Poulnot, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008, after an extended time in the A.G. Rhodes nursing home at Wesley Woods. She was a native of Atlanta and had spent time as an employee of Bell Bomber during WWII. Following the war, she was employed by the motion picture industry and served as President of Women Of The motion Picture Industry (WOMPI). Stella was retired from The American Cancer Society after serving in the DeKalb County office for over thirty years. She was married to the late Robert Jack Poulnot, Sr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jack Poulnot, Jr., two grandchildren, Mrs. Julie Ann Terry and John Elliot Poulnot, and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Jolie, age five, daughter of Julie and Jimmy Terry all of Snellville. Stella was a member of the Briarcliff Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held in the Decatur Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 21st, Dr. Bill Bigger officiating.
