Steve Bishop, 71, of Decatur, GA, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, only three weeks after receiving a diagnosis of cancer. Funeral service will be Sunday, July 23, at 4pm at Holy Trinity Parish at 515 East Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his father Bill, nephew Michael Fowler and father-in-law Billy Ingram.
In addition to his family, Steve leaves behind hundreds of friends from his church Holy Trinity in Decatur, his Medlock neighborhood, his career in the electrical supply business, his years at Avondale High School (class of '63), his Naval service, and his numerous volunteer and service activities. He was a big-hearted person who truly never met a stranger. "Love thy neighbor" was something he epitomized. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was kind, compassionate and loved to laugh. He will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the fund to renovate the kitchen at Holy Trinity.
