Mr. Stephen Owen Kasper, 48, of Decatur, formerly of Avondale, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Kasper of Decatur; sons, Christopher Stephen Kasper, Samuel Lee Kasper of Decatur; mother, Dorothy Owen Kasper; brother, Richard Allen Kasper; sister, Cheryl Ann Kasper, all of Atlanta; uncle, Ira Edwin Owen of Meridian, MS; aunt and uncle, Fred and Aileen Borrish of Douglasville; nieces, Emma and Kate Jones of Burbank, CA; niece and nephew, Holly and George Kasper of Charleston, SC; mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Lee Tribble of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Michele Jones of Burbank, CA, cousins, Penny Dudley, Ira Edwin Owen, Jr., and Sharon Kaye Turcotte, all of Mississippi. A native Atlantan he graduated from Lakeside High School in 1979. Mr. Kasper was in Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Sales for Capital City Mechanical in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. William Jackson and Rev. Jeana Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs. For those wishing to make donations, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Decatur High School Booster Club. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
