Mr. Steve Smartt, age 50, of Duluth died Sunday, July 20, 2008. He was raised in Tucker, graduated from Tucker High School and Georgia State University. Steve was a dedicated youth softball coach and had played modified fast pitch softball for many years. He is survived by his wife, Kim Smartt; daughters, Sydney and Nicole Smartt; parents-in-law, Benny and Patti Ballew of Eatonton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Kelly Smartt of Destin, FL, Mark and Debbie Smartt of Troy, AL; sisters-in-law, Tracy and Larry Spindle of Dawsonville, Tricia and Andy Sumpter of Duluth; and nieces and nephews, Tristan Sumpter, Trinity Sumpter, Logan Spindle, Taylor Smartt and Chase Smartt. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father who will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held at the Campus Church of Christ, 1525 Indian Trail Rd., Norcross, GA 30093 at 11 a.m. of Saturday, July 26th, Dr. Randy Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
