Steven Kelly Miller, 61, of Decatur, passed away April 19, 2017. Born November 19, 1955, in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frederick and Laura Ruth Brunatti Miller. Steve was a math teacher at Central Catholic High School, Canton, Ohio. After teaching, Steve went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy as a C-130 Pilot. Upon completing his time in the Navy, Steve started working as a maintenance engineer.
Steve is survived by his wife, Nancy Veronica Zamora-Miller; daughter and light of his life, Madeleine Marie; brothers: Fred and his wife, Yvonne, Joe and his wife, Mary Jo, Mitch, and Pete Miller and his wife, Angela; sisters: Kitty Kourie and her husband, Mike, and Tina Brechbill and her husband, John; and many more loving family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 636 W. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA.
A memorial mass for Steve will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4940 Tuscarawas Street W., Canton, Ohio, 44708.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 636 W. Ponce do Leon Avenue, Decatur, (404) 378-4588.
