Steven Paul Messerschmidt, of Decatur Georgia, a deeply loved father, son, brother and friend, passed away April 27, 2017 after a tough battle with cancer. He was 49.
Steven will be forever remembered by his son, Steven, by his parents, Elmer and Edna Messerschmidt, his sister, Annemarie Messerschmidt, his brother in law, Jaymes Dickerson, his nephew Jaimes Austin Dickerson and his girlfriend Mottie I Harris. He will also be forever remembered by numerous extended family and dear friends.
Steven was born on December 31, 1967 in Cheverly Maryland. He lived in Saudi Arabia with his parents during his adolescents. He went to High School in Europe and was privileged to travel throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia during his life. Steven loved to travel, loved music and going to concerts, skiing, fishing, nature, sunsets, was an amazing guitarist, and had many talents. He loved his friends and family deeply.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm, on Saturday May 13th 2017 , at the A.S Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033 (404) 292-1551. The visitation service will be a gathering of friends and family sharing stories and words of comfort in memory of Steven.
We’ll mourn the man who’s gone, whom we lost so tragically, but we’ll remember him, and remember that above all, he would want us to remember him as he lived, on the edge of a lake and on the fearless edge of what was possible.
