Susan Irene Sinot of Atlanta, GA passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020, at her home.
Susan was born in Miami, Florida, to Warren Jay Sinot and Lillian Dorothy Trescott Sinot. She is survived by her sister Shirley Sinot and nephew Weston Sinot of Florida, and many, many long time friends.
Susan was predeceased by her parents Warren and Dottie Sinot, and in 2013, by her brother Wayne Sinot.
Susan graduated from Forest Hill High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she was an E-flat clarinetist in the marching and symphonic band. She graduated from Florida State University and thereafter worked as an English teacher and drama coach at Lake Worth High School, Lake Worth, Florida. She was a talented teacher and produced numerous plays with her students, including an outstanding and memorable presentation of The Crucible.
Upon moving to Atlanta, Susan began work as an executive assistant, litigation and real estate paralegal with the law firms of Neely Freeman & Hawkins, Stack & O’Brien, Neely & Player and Lord Bissell & Brook. For the last decade, Susan served as Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of Development and Gift Planning for the Georgia Institute of Technology - a job she loved.
Susan was a supportive daughter, sister, aunt and friend, always stepping up to help others meet life’s challenges. She was a musician and music enthusiast. She played the piano and sang in her church choirs for many years. She was artistic, a designer and maker of unique jewelry and kaleidoscopes. She was an avid card player. She loved her cats, particularly her Harrison Houdini.
Susan was quick to laugh, she was kind and thoughtful. She collected friends throughout her life and kept them forever.

A memorial service is planned for early 2021.
Memorial donations to Nicholas House Family Homeless Shelter and the Atlanta Humane Society.
