Susan Mizelle Trombetta

Susan Trombetta passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She was born on January 23, 1921 the 5th child of Robert and Carrie Anderson. As a child Susan grew up in Decatur, Georgia and later moved to Atlanta where her widowed mother ran a boarding house during the depression to support her family. She graduated from Girl's High School in Atlanta. Susan worked as a secretary before meeting Salvatore Trombetta, a handsome Georgia Tech student. They married in 1946 and had three children. During the early years of their marriage they lived in Maryland where Sal was working with the Corp of Engineers. They would later transfer back to Atlanta and raise their family in the Oak Grove Community. Susan loved to create beautiful crafts. She was involved in the CDC Women's Public Health Service Club and played bridge. Her animals always held a tender place in her heart. She was pre deceased by her parents Robert and Carrie Anderson, siblings; John Fuller, Rebecca Ramey, Robert Anderson, and Winifred Burel and by her husband Salvatore Trombetta. She is survived by Le Trombetta of Norcross, Frank Trombetta (Rowan Trombetta) Horseshoe, N.C., and John Trombetta (Wendy Guiles-Trombetta) of Atlanta as well as 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00am at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia.
