Susan Howard, 35, of Atlanta, GA passed away February 11, 2016 as a result of breast cancer. Her closest family held her hands as she was called home to Heaven. Susan was born in Mobile, AL on March 23, 1980. She attended elementary school in Key West, FL and graduated high school in Greenville, SC.
In Greenville, Susan met and married her beloved husband Christopher Howard on May 26, 2006 and they began a family. In 2010, she and Chris relocated to Atlanta, GA where Susan continued her over 10 year career with Simpson Property Group and their family grew. Susan had a beautiful soul, a witty sense of humor and a vivacious presence that would light up any room she entered. She was generous and kind, never hesitating to help or simply provide a listening ear. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was devoted to being the best mother, spouse, daughter, sister and friend anyone could be blessed with. No words can express how Susan affected people let alone how much she will be missed.
So many people supported Susan and her family during her relentless battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Susan often spoke about the kindness of loved ones and complete strangers. She was so humbled and gracious when it came to this outpouring of love; never taking it for granted. She was unable to fathom how people she barely knew supported her, her husband and her sons so readily.
Susan is survived by her mother, Katherine B. Butler of Mobile, AL; her devoted husband Christopher Howard and her sons Jackson (age 11) and Samuel (age 3); her sisters and brothers, Lisa A. Davis of Wadley, GA, April Smith of Cumming, GA, Robert and Michael Ladnier of Louisville, KY and Christopher Butler of Atlanta and her loving step-father Charles Butler of Mobile. She also leaves her maternal grandparents, Reba and Melvin McGill; her Aunt and Uncles Nancy and Phillip Snodgrass and Donald Benton all of Mobile; five nieces and nephews, Elisabeth, Haylie, Ethan, Anna Kate and Derek. She is also survived by her Mother-in-Law Mildred D. Flora of North Carolina, her closest childhood friend, Keon Talbert of Dallas, TX and several beloved members of family and a host of friends.
