Teresa Timberlake was born March 24, 1947, in Jacksonville, FL. She passed away on December 8, 2017, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Clayton, Georgia. Teresa grew up in metropolitan Atlanta. She graduated from Gordon High School in Decatur, Georgia, with the Class of 1965. Upon graduating, she began working as a bookkeeper in her family's restaurant and vending businesses. This experience encouraged her to start her own business as an antiques dealer. This venture took her to White County, Georgia, where she operated one of the largest antiques businesses in North Georgia for over 25 years. She enjoyed great value and reward in this endeavor, and used her creativity to make an impact in her community. She was very proud of her success.
Upon retiring, Teresa moved to Clayton, Georgia, to be nearer to her son and his family.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, A.T. Timberlake Jr. and Francis Collier, sisters, Mary Timberlake McClung Beall and Marguerite Timberlake, brothers, Lee Timberlake and Tommy Timberlake.
Teresa is survived by her son, Jeremy (Mandy), and four grandchildren she adored, Logan, Katelyn, Noah, and Hallie. Her partner, Jimmy Luke. Other surviving family members include a sister, Vicki Timberlake, Lawrenceville, GA, aunt, Marie Etherton, Greenville, TN, niece Kelli McClung Millwood (Jay), great-nephews, Braeden and Bentley, Flowery Branch, GA, niece, Katie Hilliard (Reuben), Mableton, GA, nephews, Shawn Timberlake (Amy), Sandy Springs, GA, Thomas Latorre, St. Claire Shores, MI, cousins, Gary Timberlake (Vada), Buckhead, GA, David Timberlake (Whin), Prairie du Sac, WI, Mike and Jack Etherton, Greenville, TN, sisters-in-law, Patricia Timberlake and Carol Lathem, Atlanta, GA, and lifelong friends Victoria Kingsland (son Jason), Faye Bryant Wheeler (Larry), Bobby Caughorn, Rosallie Schadler, Trina (daughter Danielle), and her much loved fur-baby, Roxi.
A celebration of life Memorial Service for Teresa will be held at A. S. Turner & Sons, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA, on January 13, 2018 from 2 PM until 4 PM.
