Terry was born in Coffeyville, KS on June 17, 1947 and went to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home in Avondale Estates, GA.
Raised in Oklahoma City, Terry played football and baseball all through school and through college. At Putnam City High School in OKC, he was known for his outstanding athletics as starting quarterback for the Pirates football team and star pitcher for the baseball team, where he struck out Johnny Bench three times in an All-Star game. Receiving his Bachelor's Degree in History from University of Central Oklahoma, Terry made the Dean's List and President's Honor Roll each semester.
After college, Terry worked in the medical and pharmaceutical fields with American Hospital Supply, Johnson & Johnson, and Bergen Brunsig Drug Company (now Amerisource Bergen) as Director of Corporate Accounts. After his career with Bergen, Terry began his own company, PharmSpring, Inc., a pharmacy contracting consulting company.
After retiring in 2003, Terry became a community baseball coach at Greater Atlanta Christian School. During this time, he also served the City of Avondale Estates as Commissioner, Mayor Pro Tem, and Mayor.
When his health made baseball too difficult, Terry became the bookkeeper for Briarlake Baptist Church, where he loved to serve His Lord with his church family.
