Thaddeus Franklin Blackstock

Thad F. Blackstock, Jr., 86, of Decatur, GA, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on December 9th, 2023.

He was born to the late Thad F. Blackstock and the late Sara Malone Blackstock in Atlanta, GA, on February 7th, 1937. Thad graduated from Decatur High School and received an Undergraduate Degree from North Georgia College.

Upon Graduation from college, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, rising to the rank of First Lieutenant.

After being honorably discharged from the Army, Thad spent his entire business career at the Retail Credit Company, now known as Equifax.

In addition to being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he enjoyed coaching little league baseball while his two sons were growing up, never missing one of their games.

After retiring from Equifax, he enjoyed traveling and square dancing with his late wife Jane Few Blackstock, who he was married to for 63 years.

Thad is survived by his two sons and their spouses, Thad Blackstock, III and his wife Susan and Dr. Steve Blackstock and his wife Karen. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A grave side service for family will be held at Decatur Cemetery.
