Thomas Gerald May, Sr.

Mr. Thomas Gerald "Tiny" May, Sr. of Norcross, Georgia passed away Friday, August 13, 2004.  He was born, July 29, 1930 in LaGrange, Georgia; moved to Chickamauga, Georgia in 1960, then resided in Avondale Estates, Georgia from 1964 until 1983.  He was a longtime member and Deacon of Avondale First Baptist, where he played golf and softball, and acquired the nickname of "Tiny".  Our beloved PAPA is survived by his devoted wife, Marcelene Brooks May of 55 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Gerald May, Jr. (Glenda Holley May), and Terry Michael May (Deborah Mitchell May).  His adored grandchildren were Holley Marie May, Heather Marcelence May Hodapp, Deborah Delaney May and Terry Michael May, Jr.; great-grandchildren were Hannah Audrey Hodapp, Hayden Gabriel Hodapp and Thomas George Hodapp; and a number of nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 14th at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 15th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, August 16th, 2004 at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lilburn Health & Rehabilitation Center, 788 Indian Trail Rd., Lilburn, GA  30647.  A.
