Thomas Michael Jackson

Thomas Michael Jackson of Atlanta, GA passed away on January 28, 2025, at Grady Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. He was born on August 19, 1948, in Chattanooga, TN to Charles Anthony Jackson, Sr. and Lula Morrison Jackson. He graduated from Baylor High School and earned a Pharmacy Degree from The University of Georgia.

Mike spent his professional career working as a Pharmacist at the Veteran's Administration and Emory University Hospital. He was enthusiastic about the outdoors and was an active volunteer over the years for both the Georgia Conservancy and Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. He loved his cats and volunteered at the local animal shelter.

Mike was pre-deceased in death by his loving wife Bonnie June Iffert and parents, Charles A. Jackson, Sr and Lula M. Jackson of Lookout Mountain, TN.

Mike is survived by brothers Albert P. Johnson Jr. (Marti) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Charles A. Jackson Jr. (Linda) of Signal Mountain, TN. He is also survived by his niece Julie A. Jackson and nephews James A. Jackson (Susan), Thomas P. Johnson (Sarah) and James B. Johnson (Debbie). He also had a special relationship with grand-niece Addie, and grand-nephews Ben and Alex Jackson. Mike also leaves behind many wonderful friends and his loving companion, Sally Cook of Decatur, GA.

The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper or a charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life service is planned on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Parker's on Ponce, 116 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA at 1:00 PM. If attending, please RSVP.
