Mr. Thomas Levy “T. L.” Griffin, Jr. of Stone Mountain died Sunday, December 07, 2008. Mr. Griffin and his brothers were the owners of T. L. Griffin Paint and Wallpaper Company. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and a long time member of Clarkston Baptist Church before joining Stone Mountain First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marian McGlaun Griffin of Stone Mountain; daughters, Deborah G. Thompson of Lawrenceville, GA and Carolyn J. Griffin of Marietta, GA; brothers, Kenneth Z. Griffin of Winder, GA and Danny E. Griffin of Milligan, FL; sisters, Martha Jean Carnizza of Fort Walton, FL, Dodrie Jenkins of Decatur, GA, Deon Hall of Fort Payne, AL, and Margaret Ann Rice of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Joseph Levy Thompson of Lawrenceville, GA and Margaret Elise Thompson Brunen of Jefferson, GA; and great grandchildren, Willa Kate Brunen, Ford Levy Thompson and Finlee Grace Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Joy Brown officiating. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Those desiring may send contributions to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
