Thomas Lewis Marr

Thomas L. Marr, Jr. of Atlanta, GA passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. He was born on July 3, 1953 on a U.S. Army base in Munich, Germany to Charlotte Marr and Thomas L. Marr, Sr. Tom grew up in St. Petersburg, FL, where he and his sister Charlotte 'Tootie' Sanders had many adventures, including antique bottle hunting in the Florida sands. He and his family moved to Atlanta, GA during his high school years and attended the newly completed Lakeside High School. After graduation Tom attended Oxford College in Oxford, GA. where in addition to his studies he became the unofficial social director for the entire campus. Following college he completed his artistic studies at the Atlanta College of Art. His first job was as an apprentice for a stained glass studio on Piedmont Rd. He quickly picked up on the craft and it served as his trade his entire life, from opening his own studio in Roswell to his later custom-based work for clients.

Outside of art Tom's life revolved around his family, his wide network of friends and his love of music. He is survived by his son, Justin Marr; his daughter Alexandra Bundrick and her husband Andrew Bundrick; his grandchildren Natasha, Brandon and Evan; his sister Charlotte Sanders and her husband Claude Sanders; his mother Charlotte Marr; and his former stepchildren Crystal and Lacey. Tom will also be missed by his many other friends and family members.

The family will hold a memorial service at a date to be determined.
