Thomas Michael Fowler

Thomas Michael (Mike) Fowler, 67, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 9th, 2023. He was born at Emory University Hospital in Decatur, Georgia on February 14th, 1956 to Thomas Fowler and JoAnn McClendon. He was a 1976 graduate of Stone Mountain High School. Mike worked at CEW Auto Parts and Roswell Foreign Auto Parts where he was a parts delivery driver for 23 years. He has also worked at Kroger on Five Forks Trickum Road as a Courtesy Clerk for the past 23 years. Mike truly loved working at Kroger, and he loved his Kroger family. He was an avid sports fan, but he especially loved University of Georgia football. Mike loved all animals, but dogs were his favorite. He treated them like his children. Even though Mike had some learning disabilities, he was a happy person who loved his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bill Perkins of Opelika, Alabama; his nephew, Billy Perkins (Kate) of Gallatin, Tennessee; his niece, Katie Wood (Brian) of Opelika, Alabama; great nieces, Sadie Wood, Lilly Anne & Mattie Lou Perkins; great nephews, Easton Wood and Ford Perkins; aunts and uncles, Charlie & Laverne Esco, Jeanette Fowler, Michael & Wanda McClendon, and Louise Arthur; and many cousins.

Mike is reunited with his mother, JoAnn McClendon; his father, Thomas Fowler; stepfather, Kenneth McClendon; his grandparents, Joe & Hilda Esco, John & Odessa Fowler; and his step grandparents, Rollan & Glady's McClendon.

A Celebration of his life will be held at the Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Georgia on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at 11:00am. This will be a combined service to honor Mike and his mother, JoAnn McClendon.

Mike will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Kroger and his supervisor Juana for all their love and support of Mike over the years.
