Mr. Tom Reed Ingram, 86, of Avondale Estates died Wednesday, December 24, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Tom and Bernada Ingram of Rockwood TN. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Meribeth Ingram; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Terry Irwin, Alice and Larry Hogg and Lynn and Ron King; 7 grandchildren, Clay and Brent Irwin, Chris Hogg, Natalie Colvin, Michael, Lisa Lynn and David King; and four great grandchildren, Annabelle, Addie, Emilie and Bryce. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a successful business man and president of Gas Equipment Supply Company until his retirement in 1994. Mr. Ingram was a faithful member of the Northlake Church of Christ. He was an avid UT fan and loved nothing better than being in Knoxville on a Saturday afternoon to watch the Vols play. He enjoyed traveling and playing golf. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27th. Mr. Joe Glenn, a longtime family friend, will be conducting the service. Burial will be in Tennessee on Sunday. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
