Tommie Lee Dowd Walker

Mrs. Tommie Lee Dowd Walker, 89, of Decatur passed away on Sunday December 4, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Oliver Walker; sisters, Polly Herndon and Ruby Mobley; brothers, Jake and Wilmer Dowd. Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughters, Florette (Tommy) Mayo, Peggy (Clay) Carroll and Ann (Tim) Maddox; sisters, Carolyn Mobley and JoAnn (Elemer) Caraway; brothers, and Edward (Barbara) Dowd and Buddy (Frances) Dowd. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please send a donation in her memory to the American Stroke Foundation (americanstroke.org). Her services will be held on Wednesday December 7th at 3:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons with Rev. Elemer Caraway officiating, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to her services at A. S. Turner and Sons, Decatur, GA.
