Tong Y Her, died peacefully in his home with his wife and children on his side on August 7, 2022. He was born on October 25, 1934 in Laos, the oldest son of Wang Cheng Her and May Moua Her.
During his lifetime, he worked as a farmer, carpenter, landscaper, welder, and a cabinet/furniture maker. He spoke 5 languages: Hmong, Vietnamese, Lao, Thai and English.
He was predeceased by a brother, Nao Yeng Her and a sister, Pa Her Yang, and also two of his sons Thong and Lue. He is survived by a brother, Cher Pao Her and a sister, Tong Vang. He is also survived by his wife, Ma Her and his remaining children: Thai, Youa, Chia, Xao, Xai, May, Koua, Amy, and Susan, along with 20 grandchildren.
His legacy as a devoted father, a hard worker, and a godly man will continue to live within the hearts of everyone who knows him. He fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7) and God has called him home.
