Tony Cornelius

Glenn Anthony "Tony" Cornelius, 58, of Decatur died Saturday June 25, 2011 after a long fight with cancer. Tony graduated with a degree in Science from Valdosta State College and worked at Wesley Woods at Emory. One with many talents, Tony could play the guitar, piano and also write songs and poetry. When singing his voice was that of an angel. Tony loved cooking, his flower garden and his dogs, but most of all he loved the Lord. He showed compassion and love to everyone he met. He leaves behind his life partner of 15 years, Jeff Jeffers, whom he loved dearly. Also surviving is his mother, Verna Cornelius, of Valdosta, GA, sister, Michele Keesee, niece, Lisa Poole, both of Gainesville, GA and two great nieces, Morgan and Camdyn Poole. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday June 27 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends Sunday June 26 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at A. S. Turner and Sons.
