Tony Wayne Strickland

On Thursday, February 11, 2021, Tony Strickland, loving husband and father of four children passed away at the age of 67. Tony was born on January 15, 1954 in Atlanta, Ga. to Harvey, and Edwin Strickland. He was a graduate of Brown High School class of 1971. On December 3, 1980, he married his sweetheart, Mary Lynn Wells. They raised two daughters, Janice and Marilyn, and two sons, Tony and Michael. Tony had a passion for fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was an avid lover of western movies, and his Atlanta sports teams. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to never sugar coat the truth. Tony was preceded in death by his father Harvey, his mother Edwin, his five siblings, and his son Tony. He is survived by his wife Lynn, his children, and their spouses Janice and Junior, Marilyn and Mike, Michael and Brieanna, his eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2021 at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home on North Decatur Road at 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2021 at Fairview Memorial Gardens at 1:00pm.
