Trouper Gamble

After a long illness, Douglas "Trouper" Gamble, 42, originally from Odessa, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones, embarked on the journey to his new Heavenly home on July 13th, 2016. Trouper was a collector; of friends, of vinyl and his beloved Texas Longhorns. He loved and lived life to the fullest and his motto was "the love you give is the love you receive". He was "Dad" to all his "kids" and never missed a chance to make them laugh and say "look what I can do". Trouper was the sun and everyone orbited around him, hoping to bask in the warmth of his light.
Trouper is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Dara, along with their two children, Ryan and Emily. He also leaves behind his parents, Don and Teresa Swindell and siblings, Jennifer Arnold and Richard Gamble and families. Also mourning Trouper's loss are many aunts and uncles, including Jay and Kim Casey and their children, Amanda and Christopher. In addition, Trouper leaves behind in-laws (not out-laws), including David and Carla Cheairs, Dale and Benita Falk; and siblings in-law, Kyna, Shannon, DJ and Chad. Trouper's fur babies, Maggie, Pebbles, Holly and Maximus, will miss Daddy's constant attention and treats. Numerous special friends and health care providers will miss their Super Trouper. His presence and lively personality will be missed by thousands of team Super Trouper supporters around the world, as well.
Trouper is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Brondell Gamble, Doris Swindell and Harriett Beaver, along with grandfather, June Beaver. Trouper's brother in law, Owen "Bumper" Carr and nephew, Jackson Owen Dabney were also there to meet him for the Heavenly shenanigans to begin.
