Tula Woods Peacock, 94, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Decatur, GA, died on Sunday, July 11, 2010. Tula was born on August 15, 1915 in Cleveland, TN to the late Julia Kelly Woods and Carl Woods. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John William Peacock of the Oakland City community. Surviving are: sisters-in-law, Elsie Peacock Hand, Atlanta; Dorothy Peacock, Canton; and Jackie Peacock, Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews; cousin, Alba Smith, Alpharetta; and by her friends and caretakers Charles and Peggy Alford of Lawrenceville. She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church, and she retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 35 years of service. Visitation from 7 to 8 pm Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 13, at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. Funeral arrangements by A. S. Turner Funeral Home, Decatur, GA.
