Tyrone Douglas Stewart known to loved ones as Jerry was born November 4, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland. Jerry grew up in Green Pond, South Carolina where matriculated through the Colleton County School District. Upon graduation, Jerry joined the United States Air Force where he supported Operation Desert Storm and retired with the rank of Staff Sargent after twenty years of service. The lord called Jerry home to take his final rest on July 31, 2022. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his Big Brother William J. Stewart (Retired USAF) (Tampa, FL), Beloved sister-in-law Kathleen R. Stewart (Tampa, FL), Nieces and Nephews Tiffany Stewart (Tampa, FL), Brittany Stewart (Tampa, Fl), William G. Stewart (Tampa, FL), and Phillip Stewart (Oklahoma) as well as great nephew Warren Stewart (William G. Stewart). In addition, Jerry leaves behind a host of family and friends to cherish his memory. Jerry is preceded in death by his Mother Martha Stewart, Grandmother Anna Stewart, and Grandfather Eddie Stewart. Funeral arrangements have been left in the care of A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home 2773 N. Decatur Road Decatur, GA 30033. Jerry will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive Canton, GA 30114 on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 2 o’clock pm. Viewing will be held at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm. The Stewart Family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff and providers at Budd Terrace at Wesley Woods and Emory University Hospital for the amazing care and dedication provided to Jerry during his time with them.
