Uldine "Deenie" Dukes Kirkman

Uldine “Deenie” Dukes Kirkman died on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at age 94. She was born in Decatur, Georgia, on May 15, 1926. She lived most of her life in Decatur where she graduated from Decatur Girls High.

Deenie worked at Scott’s Landscape Company and eventually retired from the Atlanta Gas Light Company. She was a dedicated member of Decatur First Christian Church where she was active in the Women’s Christian Fellowship, Beacon Sunday School Class, and Fun and Travel Club. She participated in her beloved bridge club. Deenie enjoyed traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Ben (Jean) Kirkman of Monroe, GA; Chris (Karen) Kirkman of Duluth, GA; Tina (Clifton) Hunter of Sugar Hill, GA; and Tim (Donna) Kirkman of Arnold, MO; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life gathering on a later date.
