Velvie Martin Loudermilk, 94, of Tucker, GA died peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2010. She was born in Alpharetta, GA on May 19, 1915 to the late Katherine and Grady Martin. Mrs. Loudermilk worked as an assistant buyer at Davison-Paxon where she met her husband of 61 years, Norman C. Loudermilk. The couple lived in Virginia-Highlands for 35 years before moving to Tucker in 1977. Mrs. Loudermilk worked for Sears-Roebuck for 23 years and retired in 1980 to spend more time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman. She was a member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church. Mrs. Loudermilk is survived by son and daughter-in-law Tom and Terrie Loudermilk of Stone Mountain, daughter and son-in-law Ron and Cheryl Atteberry of Lilburn, granddaughter Katherine Atteberry of Loganville, grandson and wife Jonathan Atteberry and Amy of Atlanta, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Mrs. Hazel Howard, Stone Mountain. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11:00 A. M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Dr. Robert Browning officiating. Interment Floral
