Vernia Muriel Fuglaar, 84, passed from this life on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. Born in Larto Lake, Louisiana to parents Lewis Samuel and Margaret Mae Wiley, she lived in the Atlanta area for 55 years. Mrs. Fuglaar was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Fuglaar, and is survived by her three children, Mrs. Carolyn Geen, Rudy Glenn Fuglaar and David Lewis Fuglaar. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 9 grandchildren. She was a member of Amaranth. She was also past worthy matron of the Decatur chapter of Eastern Star. She is currently the vice president of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, representative to the Atlanta city council. She was a current member and associate matron of the Starlight chapter of the Easter Star. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was retired from the staff of Southern Polytech in Marietta, Ga. and was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church in Tucker. Services will he held at A.S. Turner & Sons funeral home in Decatur. Visitation will be on Saturday from 6-8 pm; Chapel service will be on Sunday at 3 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens on the Lawrenceville highway. A. S. Turner & Sons
