Verona Lorette Cannon

Verona Lorette Cannon, 73, of Atlanta, passed away June 20, 2013. A native Atlantan, Miss Cannon was retired from the Atlanta School System, where she taught and influenced thousands of students over her long career as a teacher. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Edwina Cannon of Lilburn; sisters, Betty Costner of Atlanta and Deborah White of Lilburn; numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at Calvary Temple Church, 1061 Memorial Dr, Atlanta GA 30316. Miss Cannon will lie in repose at the church beginning at 12 noon. Rev. Brent Keith and Rev. Tye Sorrow will officiate and she will be laid to rest at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
