Virgie Mae Sharp

Mrs. Virgie Mae Sharp, 92, of Stone Mountain, GA died Friday, January 16, 2009. The funeral of Mrs. Virgie Mae Sharp will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Tuesday, January 20th at 11:00 A.M. with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday with a Rosary at 7:30 P.M.  Mrs. Sharp, a native of Charleston, SC was the daughter of Thomas Calhoun Padgett and Catherine Hurley Padgett.  She was a retiree of Sears Roebuck & Company with 23 years of service. She was a member of the Atlanta Typographical Auxiliary No. 1, a past president of the Charleston Typographical Auxiliary No. 85, a member of the Father Thomas O’Reilly Council No. 4358 Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus and the Solidarity of Our Blessed Lady and Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain.  Mrs. Sharp is survived by her son, Patrick B. Sharp; daughters, Mrs. Kate Newman, Mrs. Margaret Stubbs, Mrs. Ann O’Rouke; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  A. S. Turner & Sons
