Virginia A. King, age 98, formerly of Stone Mountain, died Monday, December 5, 2005 in Palm Harbor, Florida. She was born October 29, 1907 to Agnes Anderson and Lawrence Blaine Anderson in Sidney, Ohio. Mrs. King was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for many years and a life long Bible student. She had served as a Cub Scout den mother and loved art and jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. King was a survivor of polio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Roland King. She is survived by her son, Peter Russell King; daughter-in-law, Barbara King; her brother, John Anderson of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Dr. John Beyers officiating. Burial will follow at Melwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Moody Bible Institute, c/o Stewardship, 820 North La Salle Blvd, Chicago, IL 60610 or the Operating Fund of Grace United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
