Virginia Drescher

Virginia A. Drescher, 80, of Decatur, GA passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004. She was born January 6, 1924 in Bridgeport, CT. She is survived by her husband, Allan Drescher; son, Larry Boulan of Bridgeport, CT; brother, Roy Baker of Bridgeport, CT; sisters, Alice Hiltz of Bridgeport, CT, Eunice Lynch of Oronoco, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Drescher was a retired RN who served in the U. S. Army as a nurse with the occupation forces in Japan. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Harold Byrd Post # 66, American Legion in Avondale Estates. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 10 a.m. Friday, Rev. Andrew Fields officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Virginia Drescher?s name. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
