Virginia Holland Askew

Virginia Deese Holland Askew, 92, of Deland, Florida died Wednesday, April 2, 2008.  Born in Kentucky, and a long time resident of Decatur, Georgia, Mrs. Askew is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Timothy Roby Askew, Sr.  Mrs. Askew was a lifelong homemaker, mother, active in Cub Scouts, and a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Decatur. She was an active bridge player throughout her life.  Mrs. Askew is survived by her sons, Timothy Roby Askew, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Enterprise, FL, and Charles Holland Askew and Delorez of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Shannon and Tommy Gilbert, Tara and John Hedelius, Ashley and Ryan Hufstetler, Timothy Roby Askew, III, Paul Askew, Charles H. Askew, (Chuck) and thirteen great grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5 at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA with Dr. H. Dan Rice officiating.  A. S.
