Virginia I. Thompson

Virginia Ussery Thompson of Decatur, Ga, Beloved Mother, Sister and Friend, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2016. She was born in Lagrange, Ga on August 10, 1927 to parents Dennis and Gussie Longshore Ussery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William A.Thompson, Jr., her brother, Lawrence Ussery and her brother-in-law, Edward Morgan. She is survived by her daughter, Daphne Thompson of Marietta, Ga; sister, Betty Morgan of Opelika, Ala, sister-in-law, Betty Ussery of Roanoke, Ala; nephews, Randy Morgan, Tim Ussery, Wayne Thompson, Brian Thompson and niece Michelle Karleskint. In earlier years she was very active in her church, singing in the choir and cooking in the church kitchen. Until 2015, she was employed as a bookkeeper for the same company for over fifty-four years.
