Virginia Mae Morris

Virginia Spurlin Morris passed away at age 92 on March 7th, 2014 in the company of her loving family. Virginia was born on October 6th 1921. She graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in 1939, and Crawford Long Nursing School in 1942. She married Arthur Montgomery Morris in 1943 and they shared 49 happy years together until his passing in 1993. She was an active member of Atlanta North Church of Seventh Day Adventists for many years and remained a devoted student of The Bible throughout her life. She is survived by her sister, Frances Allan; three children: Robert Morris, Ronald Morris, and Judy Morris Lampert; five grandchildren: Brandon and Robert Morris, Samantha Naik, and Adam and Alexandra Lampert; and four great-grandchildren: Madison, Morgan and Mackenzie Morris and Asher Naik. Those who had the honor of knowing her will remember her formidable strength, her sweet demeanor and her vibrant spirit. She was cherished by all who knew her and was Granny to far more than her immediate kin. Family and friends should meet at the cemetery gate at 12:45 pm.
