Virginia Talmadge

Mrs. Colonel Virginia Talmadge of Atlanta was Promoted to Glory Wednesday,  May 11, 2005. She served over 41 years as an active officer with the Salvation Army retiring in 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Charles Talmadge. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Talmadge of Flowery Branch; and chosen daughter, Ellen Childress of Lawrenceville. Funeral services will be held at the Salvation Army Atlanta Temple Corps Friday, May 13th at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons
