Virginia Thaxton Merritt

Mrs. Virginia Merritt of Atlanta died Monday, February 26, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Bob Merritt of Atlanta; son, Tom Merritt of Cary, NC; daughter, Karen Naff of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Matt and Courtney Merritt and Cassie Naff; sisters, Christine Shurling, Mary Adkin, and Joyce Mosley; and brother, Howard Thaxton. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 1 p.m. Friday, March 2nd. Dr. J. Hoffman Harris will officiate. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Dr., Atlanta, GA 30319 or Eagle Ranch, P. O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
