Ginnie Whelchel

Virginia "Ginnie" Alexander Whelchel, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Cumming, GA on February 12, 2025. She was born in Atlanta, GA to George Thomas and Mildred Elizabeth Alexander. Ginnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, "Gigi" and friend. Her passionate spirit, kindness and laughter will always be with us. Ginnie leaves behind her only daughter and son in law, Sharon and Mike Moye; her grandchildren, Rachel Parks (married to Chase), Rebekah Davis (married to Josh) and Michael Moye Jr. (married to Elizabeth); great grandchildren, Penelope, Eleanora, Jonah, Raley James, Remi Joy, Isaiah, Indie and one more great grandson about to be with us. A service to celebrate Ginnie's life will be held February 22, 2025 at 11:00 am at Brookhaven Presbyterian Church. In memory of Ginnie's love of family, in lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Brookhaven Presbyterian Church with designation to it's Family Ministry Department.
