William Franklin Robertson, 75, of Decatur, GA, passed away Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at Emory Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
A native of Atlanta, GA, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Robertson and Julia G. Robertson.
Frank graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and also earned an MBA from Georgia State University. After graduating from Georgia Tech, Frank served two years in the US Army before becoming employed as a consulting electrical engineer. In 2007, after 42 years of service with AMEC, Frank retired from a job he really enjoyed and was exceptionally talented in doing. Frank also devoted a great deal of time helping others, especially in electrical home projects, and many are in his debt for his selfless service. After retirement, Frank looked forward to taking trips to the beach with his cousin, David Robertson of Markham, Ontario, Canada and spending time with his dear friends Doug Deadwyler and Yves Durand.
Frank enjoyed attending Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where he and his wife Juanita Frizzelle are active church members. Most recently he had been volunteering as an electrical engineering consultant for a building project at the church.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Juanita Frizzelle; daughter Laurie and her husband Terry; daughter Cindy Bertin; son Michael and his wife Anna; sister Rosemary R. Greene; and grandchildren Hannah, Abigail, Maggie, Wilson, Christopher, Carter, Addie, and Zion. He was greatly loved by his children, grandchildren, family, and his beloved cat Sweetpea.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1st at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1722 Oak Grove Rd, Decatur, Georgia 30033. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church building fund.
