LOWE, WADE CHAMBLISS passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at his home in Avondale Estates, Georgia at the age of 81. Wade was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 13, 1929. He was the eighth child of the ten children born to Luther Lee Lowe and Dollie Carpenter Lowe. Wade graduated from North Fulton High School and was a member of the Buckhead Boys. During the Korean War, Wade served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan. After returning home he met his future wife, Jeanne McWilliams, and the two were married in August 1954. Wade was an adventurer. His interests included buying/selling exotic cars, driving race cars, flying single-engine airplanes, photography, snowskiing and traveling throughout the United States, Europe and South America. Until they both retired, Wade, along with this brother Roy, owned and operated Lowe Glass in Atlanta, Atlanta Glasscrafters and Bygone Era. Wade was an active member and Elder of the Belvedere Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Wade is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanne McWilliams Lowe; daughter, Linda Morris and son-in-law Ron of Conyers; brother, Roy Lowe of Clarksville; Helen; sisters, Sarah Rogers of St. Simons Island, Elinor Beavers of Orlando, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him as a kind and generous man. A committal service will be held at the graveside at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2011with Elder Shaun Brooks officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U. S. Air Force Honor Guard. A Memorial Service will be held at the Belvedere Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Covington Highway, Decatur, Georgia on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11 am The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
