Mr. Wallace H. C. Colly, Jr., 86, of Atlanta died Sunday, May 31, 2009. Mr. Colly graduated from Tech High School and attended Georgia Tech. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a founder of the Dogwood City Grotto and had retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mr. Colly was a member of Atlanta First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Alice Colly; son, Wally Colly; grandson, Steven Colly, both of Norcross; granddaughter, Pam Peterson of Mobile, AL; and brother, Maurice Colly of Bay Saint Louis, MS. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4th at 10 a.m. at the Atlanta First United Methodist Church, Dr. Jim Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atlanta First United Methodist Church Renovation Fund. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
