Walter Frederick Rowe

Mr. Walter F. Rowe, 91, of Decatur, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010.  He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Rowe had several hobbies, which included gardening, ham radio and painting. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Rowe is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nell Rowe; son, Walter F. Rowe, Jr. (Nancy) of Woodbridge, VA; daughters, Ann Rowe (James Coppess) of College Park, MD, Susan Rowe (Ross Briggs) of St. Louis, MO; and eight grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan, GA.  Rev. Bob Williamson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
